This month our focus is on HOPE & Encouragement

HOPE is the great activator! Hope is the foundational quality of all change, and Encouragement is the fuel upon which that Hope runs!

Zig Ziglar believed everyone needed hope and encouragement! He knew that without hope people will not even try. Because of this he started almost all of his presentations with a couple of questions: the first question he would ask the audience was to raise their hand if there was anything they could do in the next week to make their personal, business, or family life worse? The audience would respond with a nervous laugh, not really expecting such a question from Mr. Motivation! Of course, you can make your life worse. Then he would ask if there was anything they could do in the next week to make their personal, business, or family life better?  All hands went up again. He would then close with this: "Ladies and gentlemen, without realizing it, you have determined in your mind that you have the power to make things better or worse. The choice is yours." This is where HOPE is born. The hopeless will not even try. When you realize you can do something, you have hope, and action follows hope.

Your choices today will become your reality tomorrow. Choice is the most powerful tool we have. Everything boils down to a choice. We exist in a field of infinite possibilities. Every choice we make shuts an infinite number of doors and opens an infinite number of doors. At any point we can change the direction of our lives by a simple choice. It is all in our hands, our hearts, and our minds.

Ziglar's message of encouragement made a difference in the lives of millions of people around the world and continues on today. The lesson is simple. When you seek to influence someone, you must first create hope and help them realize they can do something to improve their situation.
